Learning Support Programme (LSP)

It equips students with basic literacy skills to aid their learning in the regular classroom. These lessons are conducted in small groups daily during school curriculum hours by a trained Learning Support Coordinator.
School-based Dyslexia Remediation (SDR)
The School-based Dyslexia Remediation programme provides support for selected P3 and P4 students. This programme seeks to enable the students to learn coping strategies in reading. The students will learn a systemic set of strategies through various specially-designed activities. The lessons are conducted thrice a week after school by a trained SDR instructor.
Reading Remediation Programme (RRP)
The Reading Remediation Programme provides extended reading support in the English Language for P3 and P4 students who have completed the Learning Support Programme in P1 and P2. It exposes students to a range of coping strategies for reading comprehension which will enable them to better manage their learning in the regular classroom. The lessons are conducted twice a week after school by a trained RRP instructor.
Lower Primary Reading Support Programme
The Lower Primary Reading Programme aims to inculcate the love of reading through story appreciation. It adopts a spiral learning approach whereby selected students will strengthen their word recognition and the reading of sentences before they progress to reading of created short stories aligned to the new English Language syllabus. Students are given many opportunities to practise their reading in order to develop their confidence and fluency. Each student’s progress is closely monitored to improve their reading proficiency.
